Page Plans Projects
I was able to take part of the day off yesterday to go help Dad. We had to do all those things no one wants to do - which was place everything in his name and remove mother's name from all the wonderful things they have legally shared. He did get a little tired towards the end of everything - but he was steadfast in our tasks. I was so happy to hear him talk about the future - he even said he hopes the next five years don't go as quickly as the last five years (I agreed with him)!
Gail - if you are reading this - I want you to know I actually found the "original" koala bear pattern in Mother's things. I am purchasing 2 different colors of gingham material to begin the chicken scratch on two quilts. So....be ready to French Knot and quilt - you know I can't. For those of you who might like to see what I am talking about - here it is! This is the last one Mother made before she passed away - it was made for my daughter, Brittanny's 1st child! Mother has been making these quilts since I had my first child, Tiel. It has been a wonderful tradition and we have talked about not letting the tradition disappear. We may have to tweak it to make it our own - but the legacy will continue!
Today - over at Page Plans we have a couple more Fourth of July reveals! As I have said before - it is one of my favorite Holidays. Why? Because for years it was a double celebration. My father was born on the 4th of July. When I was growing up we would always go to the parade, have a picnic with family (all day) and watch the fireworks - I loved it. My dad is o longer with us but, I'm sure he watches all those incredible fireworks from around the world - he has a perfect view now!
Here is a new LO (of my nieces from last year) and Card:
It is my goal to get a great fireworks picture this year! If you have any ideas or input on how I can get that one great shot - please let me know!
I am ready to re-implement the contest: Sorry it was sidetracked - but here we go.
So here is my July give-a-way: It is the BasicGrey magnetic mat!
Here are the rules for entering the drawing: they are quite
simple really. Just leave me a comment on my blog. You can leave one
comment everyday here and at Page Plans.
That's two entries a day. The contest will go from July 1st thru July 25th. Those of you who left comments in June - I will add your entries to these. I will announce the winner on July 27th (when I announce my next
big giveaway). Everyone is welcome to join in the contest including
international players!
If you have any questions at all - please feel free to email me at leslica@live.com !
I hope you have an awesome day!!!
